Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum by Guerlain – Review
In winter time and at the beginning of spring, every year I start to use more moisturizing creams. Although I have not dry skin (I have other sort problem), I can see that my face skin during the winter lose elasticity. At cold weather, you can wear a scarf to protect the neck, or glows to protect hands, but our faces are always exposed to cold weather and the wind.
That why I use a face cream that I would not put on my face during warm weather. And I have chosen mostly anti-age creams, because I am in the early 40s, and must take care of that.
But if you have dry skin, those creams are right for you in all year seasons.
I tried couple creams like SK-II R.N.A. (Power Radical New Age), SkinMedica Replenish Hydrating Cream and Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum.
First of all, I generally like Guerlain. Probably it is because of their connection with honey, or because I remembered that my mom also uses the Guerlain brand.
Guerlain’s Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum is made from a very pure and powerful variety of honey produced by the Black Bees from Ushant Island, France. The isolation of the island has helped the conservation of the Apis mellifera, European dark bee, unaffected by pollution and pesticides and the resultant honey is of an unrivaled purity with exceptional properties.
The second major component of the serum is a Royal Jelly, extracted from 200 hives from Sologne, France, a region known for its wild fauna. Both Honey and Royal Jelly are known for their healing properties.
Guerlain has encapsulated the serum in microspheres to maintain freshness, and are crushed only when dispensed to release the contents to the skin. This particular serum has a light-textured, very easily absorbed.
I was using Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum during the past winter, and my skin is looking healthier and smoother.

I’ve heard of the power of the black bees. I remember reading somewhere black bees honey cancan cure rashes. I didn’t know that it is also good moisturizer. The really cool part is that it has royal jelly in it. As I recall, It’s meant for the next queen bee to consume because it is very nutritious. I can only imagine how healthy and beneficial it is for the human body . Very good find. I am going to tell my mom about it. She probably needs it the most.
Hi Jelena,
Very interesting post. I never thought that honey could be used as a supplement with moisturizer; really good to know. I have been looking for new mosturizers since I have a condition where I get a rash on my elbows if exposed for long periods of time to the sun.
Do you know if honey has health benefits as well as esthetic benefits?
Thanks in advance,
Luis
Hello Luis.
I am familiar and increasingly exploring how between can influence the improvement of general health. Honey is increasingly used in the pharmaceutical industry, thanks to its healing properties. Most of wound treatments because it reduces the growth of bacteria and contains antioxidants. But also, more recent studies show that honey can help reduce risk of some sort of cancer and heart disease.
Medical grade honey, like Manuka honey is great for wound treatments. I was a wound care nurse and managed a wound care clinic few years back. We used medical grade honey in different forms, such as; gel, paste, alginate, which is used to pack in deeper wound beds. They also come in medicated bandaids. Unlike other antibiotics which one can have resistance to, honey doesn’t because it’s all natural. Sweet!
Hello Ruthy.
You’re right. Honey is increasingly used in the pharmaceutical industry, thanks to its healing properties. Most of wound treatments because it reduces the growth of bacteria and contains antioxidants. I would love to try the Guerlain Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum after reading this article! I am in my early 40’s and have combination skin. I love trying out new creams and serums and I think it’s good for our skin to alternate and not use the same cream every time! I find the winter weather where I am particularly harsh on my skin, so this serum sounds ideal for me.
