Desserts for Easter
It is this special time of the year: Easter Festivities are at our door!
There are so many different ways to celebrate this wonderful holiday and what it represents. This is the time for a family to gather around delicious tastes at the table. What’s more, these sweets and delicacy can be good for your body and health imposing!Combined with a fresh scent of lighted candles, Ester egg Radish arrangements and the book: The Tale of Peter Rabbit, we suggest these wonderful honey desserts that can make all the festivity’s difference.
So, let’s begin with our sweet list, as it follows…
WALNUTS and BANANAS CAKE
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs,
- 200 g of honey,
- 200 g sugar,
- 400 g of flour,
- 100 g of chopped walnuts,
- 5 overripe bananas
PREPARATION:
Beat egg yolks with sugar and honey, using the mixer. Add overripe bananas. Add to the mixture and stir whites from egg whites, flour, and chopped walnuts.
Pour it all into greased baking pan and bake for about half an hour at 180 degrees. When it cools off, cut the cake into cubes.

TRADITIONAL HONEY COOKIES
Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons of honey,
- 200 g of powdered sugar,
- 3 eggs, 50 g flour,
- 3 crumbly clove,
- cinnamon scoop,
- teaspoon baking soda,
- 4 tbsp chopped walnuts
PREPARATION:
Beat two eggs, an egg yolk, and sugar add honey, cinnamon, and cloves, and make an even mixture. Then add the flour mixed with baking soda and make the smooth dough. Thin the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of about five millimeters.
Use small round mold to make cookies and brush each with egg white and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Put them on a baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes on medium heat.
POPPY SEEDS AND HONEY CAKE
Ingredients:
- 30 g of fresh or dry yeast,
- 500 g of flour,
- 100 g of margarine,
- 3 tablespoons sugar,
- 1 egg,
- 3 dl milk,
- lemon,
- a pinch of salt
For the filling: - 4 tablespoons of honey,
- 300 g of minced root,
- 3 dl milk,
- 100 g raisins,
- 4 spoonfuls of sugar,
- 2 egg yolks,
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon,
- egg whites for coating,
- powder sugar
PREPARATION:
Yeast dilute with 50 milliliters of warm milk with a spoon of sugar and flour and leave to rise. Knead the dough made from flour, yeast, half a margarine, egg, sugar, and salt. Wash the lemon and grate a little bark.
Gradually add the milk and knead the dough until it is discharged from the vessel. Cover with a cloth and leave to rise.
For the filling, add in boiled milk to the mixture of poppy seeds and cook with constant stirring for 10 minutes, then leave it to cool down.
Whisk egg yolks with sugar and mix with poppy seeds. Add honey, washed and dried raisins and cinnamon. Let it all rest.Spread the dough into the one-centimeter thick roll, brush it with remaining margarine and put the filling. Wrap both sides to the middle, transfer it to a baking sheet and leave for about 40 minutes to rise.
Brush with beaten egg white, and bake for about one hour at 220 degrees. Sprinkle it with the powdered sugar and cut when completely cold.
HONEY CHOCOLATES
Ingredients:
- 500 g of cocoa,
- 400 g of honey,
- 200 g of margarine,
- 100 g chopped walnuts,
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon,
- teaspoon ground cloves,
- 100 g of powdered sugar,
- 2 vanilla sugar bags
PREPARATION
Mix the honey and cocoa, and cook on low heat for about half an hour, stirring occasionally so it does not burn. When you remove from stove, add the cinnamon, cloves and vanilla sugar. Add the butter, and stir until melted. Take the long mold and grease it, sprinkle with powdered sugar and pour in the prepared mixture.
Leave until the next day to cool completely, then cut into smaller cubes.
